There was a time where I toted books like The God Delusion around with me to public places. Not just because I was reading it, but because I wanted everyone around me to know that I thought their God was nothing more than a delusion.
Obnoxious behavior, absolutely.
I was diagnosed with epilepsy when I was fifteen years old. It has been thirteen years and I have about one "breakthrough" seizure per year. It terrifies me. Waking up with injuries and no recollection of the previous few hours... I wrote an essay about the experience a few years ago. I share this in the spirit of radical honesty...
